Conduct Grade
A: The basic score for the Conduct Grade is 86. Points will be deducted according to the student's accumulated hours of absence. Points will be added or deducted according to his/her merit/demerit record. If a student's Conduct Grade is under 60, the student will be forced to withdraw from the school.
A: Students can add extra points to their Conduct Grades by joining official activities on or off campus; the Department or Administrative unit will provide a list of students to be rewarded or reprimanded to the Student Advising Section so that their conduct grades can be adjusted accordingly.

- Scholarship applications place high importance on the Conduct Grade.
- If a student applies to a Teacher Education Program in the future, some universities will ask for the Conduct Grade and Rewards and Punishment Record.
Leave Application Information
A:
- One-day personal leave,menstruation leave,time conflict leave: Please file an on-line leave application.
- For sick leaves, hospitalization leaves, compassionate leaves, maternity leaves, official leaves, and over-one-day personal leaves, please file an application on-line within seven days and turn in related documents (e.g. doctor's certificate, obituary, etc) to Student Advising Section of Student Affairs Division (or Student Affairs Section on Taoyuan Campus) for approval.

- As long as you can prove that there is a valid reason for your absence or tardiness, a variety of formal documents can be accepted to support your application, such as doctor's certificate, obituary, wedding invitation, etc.
- In principle, students can ask someone else for help to apply for leave as long as the completed application and supporting documents are submitted.
A:
- Within two days of the exam, the completed form together with the supporting documents should be submitted to the Student Advising Section of Student Affairs Division (or Student Affairs Section on Taoyuan Campus) for approval.
- Leaves within the exam week: No personal leave applications are accepted. Only Official Leave, Sick Leave, Compassionate Leave, and Maternity Leave, Transportation Delay or other unavoidable reasons are allowed for leaves during this period. In addition, students should turn in the completed form together with the supporting documents to Student Advising Section of Student Affairs Division within two days (or Student Affairs Section on Taoyuan Campus) to be approved by the university president.
After a leave application is approved by school, if student decides to take the exam, the student should first delete the leave application, then take the exam. Otherwise, the grade will not be recorded. If anything untrue or invalid is discovered in the case, the student will be punished according to school regulations.
A:
- No! A supporting document from a private clinic or hospital is also acceptable.
- However, the supporting document should clearly state reason that the student saw the doctor (e.g., a serious cold, …), why the student could not take the exam. (must stay home and rest for one day, admitted to the hospital/clinic for treatment, …), the date the doctor saw the student (proving that the student could not come take an exam on a specific day). Of course, the document must bear the official square seal mark hospital and the doctor's seal or signature!
